My Progress

11/21/08-11/24/08

My mom decided it would be a fun idea to track my growth by taking my picture on my monthly birthdays. My bear volunteered to pose with me for perspective. My mom's vision was of a nice picture of me and the bear, laying quietly and smiling adorably at the camera. My artistic vision was to demonstrate my new skills, including grabbing, throwing and sucking. Brilliant artistic minds may differ.

You can also check out my pictures from our Green-wood Cemetery walk and my fun play-date with Natalie, who acts as a stand-in for Suri Cruise.

Happy Thanksgiving!

4 months-ish

11/5/08-11/20/08

I am almost officially 4 months old! I'm 25 inches long and weigh in at 14 lbs 10 oz (though by the end of the day I probably drool off a few oz).

Halloween

10/26/08-11/4/08

Don't expect me to play dress up again anytime soon. (Though all my friends are girls, so I may be out of luck....)

Strike Chipper Schroeder

BTW, my Palin name is Strike Chipper, son of Beans Harpoon and Stake Shed. I would probably just go by Chip.

Iowa

10/5/08-10/25/08

I have just returned from my first trip to learn about my Iowa roots. We got to see the lovely wedding of cousins Christine and David, and then visited with grandparents. I went apple picking and had my diaper changed at the world's largest truck stop. Can't wait to go back at Christmas.

I cross state lines

9/25/08-10/4/08

We had a wonderful time visiting relatives in Pennsylvania--my first weekend trip! We stopped at a mall in Jersey on the way, so that's 2 new states. I also partied it up at my friend Leah's first birthday party.

5 weeks already!

8/14/18-8/28/08

Time is flying! I have been having fun going for walks and meeting some visitors. I am also starting to have eyebrows.

This week's poll: Is 4 am too early to start the day, yes or no? (Preliminary results indicate YES is leading 2 to 1, with no margin of error.)

My debut. (Don't get any ideas, we already sold these to US Weekly for an undisclosed sum.)

Big news this week!

Whew!  I was born on Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 4:23pm, 21 inches long and weighing in at a lean 8 lbs, 6 oz.  I am quite tired and have a wicked headache, but otherwise feel great.

Mom and Dad decided my name is Mason John Schroeder.

I moved from my Manhattan digs to my new Brooklyn crib on Saturday.

On the Catwalk*

O'Malley has graciously volunteered (sort of) to help model some new items of mine.  She has also been performing various safety and comfort inspections on my behalf:

Good suspension:

She isn't into baths so she wasn't sure about the hooded towels:

The hottest summer 2008 styles:

I also have Notre Dame and the Mets:

Only the hippest babies have wry baby stuff:

O'Malley tells me stripes are very in:

Gisele eat your heart out:

Yep, those posts are 2-3/8 in. apart; only one paw width in between mattress and crib. Good job:

Too sexy:

The new glider chair is under continuous review:

O'Malley has a no car seat rider to her contract, so we had to use a stand-in:

I have decided to keep mum on the date, despite my mom's repeated threats to stop eating ice cream if I don't show up soon.  I called her bluff.

In a related story, check out the patriotic cake my parents made for fourth of July.  Note the accuracy of the flag and the painstaking effort at making the stripes straight.  Then we ate it.

Hello again from Baby K!

Sorry about the delay in getting new stuff up.  We had some technical issues that my tech support team (dad) has fixed, so now you can make comments on my blog too! See you soon!

Here is a quick update of the last few months.  I have been quite busy.

First, the current status of my bump:

We have been enjoying summer weekends at fire island with some of mom & dad's friends. I have been eating a lot of shrimp and getting my omega-3s and am really enjoying my nitrate-free hot dogs!

It's cranberry juice straight-up

Resident swanlet

Mom at the beach:

We visited Vera, John & Helen in May and took a trip through Niagara Falls and Toronto.  It was lovely:

From the top of the CN tower.  Eeek.

I am now approximately T-3 weeks old, and am already the proud owner of my very own swing, travel system, teddy bear, bathtub, video baby monitor  (if my parents would stop pretending to make music videos with it), nail clippers, mobile, teething cream, butt paste, bottle warmer, miracle blanket, wash cloths, burp cloths, drop cloths, decorative rug, various clever and artistic onesies and a New York state 529 account.  I have even had a party in my honor:

Some aunties came to visit and party with me and my mom.  They all look very skinny:

baby k schroeder

Hello?  Anyone out there?

Please allow me to introduce myself:

My aliases include Baby K, Junior, Fred and Half-pint.  I currently live in Brooklyn.  I don't have a job other than growing a brain, plumping up and practicing kick-boxing three-four times per day.

Here is a picture of my parents.  My dad is a financial analyst and my mom is an attorney,  but they are actually cooler than they sound:

I have one cousin, her name is Vera.  She is older than me and can do all kinds of really amazing things like suck on her own hand and make eye contact.  Yo, Vera, hit me on my cell and we will do lunch.

Below is a picture of Vera and a link to her kicking blog:

I have recently returned from a trip to Greece with my parents.  It was really wonderful.  My favorite part were the daily chocolate crepes.  Here I am at the Acropolis:

More Athens:

We sampled a lot of "deltas":

We also visited Santorini.  It was really beautiful.  Papou Nick says I have to wait until next time to sample the Ouzo, but we really enjoyed the food and the sunsets.

Yep, they even have St. Patrick's day in Greece.
